The Madman/Dragon crossover kicked off with Savage Dragon #82 and Atomics #13. According to Erik Larsen, each title can be read separately from each other, so fans of Madman won't have to give up eating and get the new Savage Dragon to find out what happens to Madman. Each story arc is separate from each other, but come on. We all know that the minds of the anal fanboy is telling us "MUST... GET.... ALL OF THEM...." So hurry up and buy it. The cover of the Madman ish is below, just click on it to get a larger cover. Atomics #13 is $3.50 and published by AAA POP, so go pick up yours today.

CONVENTIONS AND SUCH Hey, remember how everyone was all geeked out about the Pittsburgh convention, because Erik Larsen was going and a variant cover for Savage Dragon #85 was supposed to be an exclusive at the con? Well Erik was struck down with a deadly illness (pnuemonia, which isn't all that deadly, unless your name happens to be Jim Henson) so he's a no-show at the Pittsburgh convention. But you know what else? That ALSO means that there will be no exclusive Savage Dragon ish at the convention, AND it makes comics-nut Evan Dorkin a bold faced liar! Want proof? Check it out! Evan did the artwork for the Pittsburgh con's attendance fliers and it CLEARLY says that Erik Larsen'll be there... but he won't be there, will he? Well, thank you, Evan Dorkin. You've crushed the hopes and dreams of children nationwide. This must be a proud day for you, you rat bastard..... To check a bigger version,
On the PLUS side, Erik's still going to the Wonder Con and Wizard World Conventions, so start planning! disclaimer: We here at the Ultimate Erik Larsen fan page really honestly love Evan Dorkin and everything he does, and the above is not to be taken seriously, so don't go out and assassinate him on account of us or Erik Larsen. For some kick-ass Evan Dorkin nuttiness, check out the House of Fun and dig in to Evan's great comics. The only thing bad about him is that he doesn't put out more comics a year. --FDF
DEFENDERS Defenders #3 is out (it's been out for a week, technically, but shut the hell up) and hey, we got the snazzy lookin' cover down yonder. Eric Stephenson guest-scripts alongside Erik and Kurt, seeing as how Erik wasn't up to snuff during this issu (he was sick). To check a larger version of the cover, click on the thumbnail. Also, there's a new DEFENDERS gallery in the marvel section. To get there faster, just click here. Defenders #3 is published by Marvel Comics and goes for $2.25

Erik has also stated that he'd ask Stan to contribute (which is obvious needless to say). This here pic was a part of the treatment that Erik threw together for the FF maxi-series for Marvel. It was taken from Jim D's Erik Larsen Web Resource, to check out his site, go to the links page. ![]() click on pic to see a larger version.

SAVAGE DRAGON/MADMAN IT'S CONFIRMED. Erik Larsen and Mike Allred are collaborating on a project that will team up their two creations, The Savage Dragon and Madman. Says Mike Alred, "I'm using the Dragon in a stand alone adventure in the Atomics and Erik is using Frank and The Atomics for a stand alone gig in SAVAGE DRAGON. In other words--we hope everyone will get both series but you won't afta if ya don't wanna." Thanks to LOUIS "KOLCHAK" PANAGAKOS for getting the information
![]() POWERS So what's so special about this book, right? It's done by that Brian Michael Bendis guy. He hasn't got anything to do with Dragon, right? And Powers #1 was filled with characters who sound like they took speach lessons from Woody Allen, so what? Well, in that very issue, a character from Erik's Superpatriot: Liberty & Justice miniseries showed up in a small cameo, and comin in Powers #4, expect our very own Savage Dragon to stop by in the book as well. Just one more book for all you Larsen-fans to waste money on. Enjoy. special thanks to Greg Aubry for the info
![]() The Comic Reader already came out. I didn't get it. Did anyone? I don't know. I still need my copy! Shit!
