CAST

*Richard Ryder AKA Nova: America's lovable loser super-hero. Powers have been acting a bit wonky lately, but has his friends around to make fun of him.
*The New Warriors: Nova's teammates. On and off member status. Team consists of Namorita (Nova's one-time girlfriend), Speedball, and Night Thrasher.
*Roger "Caps": Rich's college buddy. In on the whole "secret-identity" thing. Doesn't like to be called "Caps" anymore.
*Bernie: Another of Rich's buddies who know of his secret. Was able to get it on with Namorita.
*Ginger Jaye: Rich's old girlfriend. She's now married, but her husband was beating her, and in an uncontrollable power surge, Nova put him into a coma.
*Condor: Old Marvel stalwart villain. He's one of those villains that keeps coming back just to get his ass wupped.
*Fantastic Four: Marvel's first family. Comprised of Mr. Fantastic, Invisible Woman, The Human Torch, and the Thing.
*Red Raven: Long believed dead, leader of the race of bird men that live in the clouds. Comes looking for the Condor.
*Sphinx: Old Marvel villain. Almost omnipotent in his power, and is a master of time. Too bad he loses to Rich as well.
*Spider-Man: Your friendly neighborhood wall-crawler.
*Venom: Spider-Man villain that's been played out too much. Rich makes fun of him because of that.

NOVA #5 INKS
Here is the black and white inks of Nova #5. Tim Townsend did a stellar job of capturing Erik's art through his inks. Very clear and well-defined. One of the best Nova covers out of the series. To see a larger version, just click on the image.

NOVA #6 PENCILS
Here is the pencils to the cover of Nova #6 featuring Nova versus The Sphinx. To view a larger version of this cover, just click on the image to the left of this text. As you can notice, Erik's pencils are overtly detailed, and the rough penciled version is as great as the finished product. A very great cover.

NOVA #7 INKS
Here is the cover of Nova #7 featuring Venom and Nova. It is already inked by Dan Panosian over Erik's pencils. Panosian is a great inker, and Larsen's art is still present through Dan's inks. A great job overall, and the detail is great, especially against Venom's black costume.

NOVA #8 PENCILS
Here is the unseen cover to the lost issue of the Nova series, Nova #8. Erik had pencilled this cover before he had learned of Nova's cancellation. It features the Red Raven and an army of his minions coming from their city in the clouds to attack a seemingly surprised Rich Ryder. It's a shame that this issue never saw the light of day, I would've really liked to see this cover in it's final form and on the racks.
