Name: Dragon
Equipment: Police issue baton, big freakin' machine gun, and a interchangeable hand (one regular, the other shown in mid-rejuvenation) Description: Dragon is hunchbacked wearing his tattered trenchcoat, looking very angry, with his two giant sized arms (each about the same size as Dragon's body) sticking out ready to clober somebody My thoughts: The hunchbacked look for Dragon is very menacing, but the downside is this is the only pose for this character. If you try to make him stand any differently, he won't, and even in his hunchbacked look, he looks like he's trying to take a dump. It's a great looking figure though, and I do enjoy owning it, if only to see Dragon in his trenchcoat. It's also very thick. If you chuck this toy at someone, you'll DEFINITELY put that guy in a coma. This thing is just one giant mass of plastic. Rating: 7 out of 10 |
THE COMIC
![]() |
The Story:
Barbaric and She-Dragon fight the suped up Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles,
thinking that they are members of the Vicious Circle (and the Turtles
thinking the same of Barbaric and She-Dragon). Dragon gets the call
about the brawl, and goes down to break it up. He does and everyone
apologizes. It's revealed that a friend of the Turtles have been
kidnapped by the VC, and they came to kick their ass. Dragon and
Co. leap at the reader in the final panel, saying ever so cliched, "What
are we waiting for? LETS GO!"
The Art Team:
My thoughts: It's a no-brainer "good guys fight good guys, good guys clear up misunderstanding, good guys team up to fight unknown menace in the next installment" type story. It's pretty straightforward with pretty basic art. The Turtles are pretty bad (so are the designs), and no one's in-character. The only redeeming qualities is Dragon on his motorcycle, and the dope cover. Where have I seen this cover before? It showed up as a pin-up in Savage Dragon #(???) Anyone know which issue? I can't seem to find it. Rating: 5 out of 10 |
